The village Praiano, between the sea and the mountains, offers quiet beaches, sunny until the late afternoon. The Furore Fjord is one of them, located in front of the fishing village. It was once a commercial port and its waters are 25 meter deep. You can reach the bridge on the Fjord, on the Statale Amalfitana road, through a set of stairs. Furore is well connected by public transportation.
Beach surrounded by two high cliffs, ancient landing place and only access to the valley of Praia. The beach has a bathing establishment and cafes and restaurants known for their excellent fresh fish. From the lido you can take boat excursions for sightseeing tours around the area, including famous destinations like the beautiful Grotta dell’Africana, Grotta Suppraiano and Cala di Gavitella. The first two are grottos while the third one is a beach facing west with views on Positano and Capri.
The best way to fully enjoy the scenic beauty and wildlife of Cala della Gavitella is arriving there from the sea, leaving from Marina di Praia and renting a boat or the shuttle service. This small cove offers a landing place, bathing establishments, restaurants and a great location overlooking Positano and Capri. From the beach, you can reach Marina di Praia and Le Praie. It has a natural pool called “Fontana dell’Altare” located inside a grotto.
