The Blue Grotto is a wonderful natural cavern located in the town of Anacapri, Island of Capri. To visit it you have to buy a ticket. The ticket includes transportation on small rowing boats that have access to the inside of the cave.
Its main feature is the amazing and ever-changing shades of colors, more or less intense depending on time of visit. The Sunlight filters through a crack in the cave and, as a result of refraction with water, creates a fascinating interplay of silvery blue shades. The feeling is like being "suspended" in the sky while all around is colored by this magical alchemy of colors.
Not far from the Blue Grotto can be reached Gradola's creek, where you can enjoy a nice bath in the blue and deep. In the area there are also rooms for refreshment.
The Blue Grotto can be reached by bus from Anacapri, in ten minutes by boat from Marina Grande, Island tour or walk along Viale T. de Tommaso, Via Pagliaro and Via Grotta Azzurra.
